MOTHERING SUNDAY is a day we get to celebrate the ladies we love.
Traditionally held on the fourth Sunday in Lent, exactly three weeks before Easter Sunday, it was originally a day to honour and give thanks to the Virgin Mary in your mother church/ family church. One thing I loved about growing up as a vicar’s daughter was handing out daffodils to all the women in the community on Mothering Sunday… a tradition we’ve begun at Last Night I Dreamt (pop in on Saturday 18th for a little daff gift from us with every purchase!) Mother’s Day to us has become way more than the traditional treat your mam on that day (although of course mums are oh so special and deserve celebrating on that day). All I mean is that we have so many ladies we love who need celebrating too… hence our FOR THE LADIES WE LOVE EDIT.
